Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

Contents of all therapy sessions are considered to be confidential. Both verbal information and written records about a client cannot be shared with another party without the written consent of the client or the client's legal guardian. Noted exceptions are as follows:

Harm to Self or Others
Abuse of Children and Vulnerable Adults
Contagious, Life-Threateneing Diseases
Minors/Guardianship
Court-Ordered Disclosure
Insurance Providers/Reimbursement for Services (when applicable)

Prior to entering into the therapeutic relationship, a client and counselor responsibilities and consent to service form, and a limits of confidentiality form will be presented for signature to ensure all persons receiving therapeutic services are fully informed before engaging in services.
